Southwest Louisiana Amateur Repeater Club
Serving Southwest Louisiana through amateur radio communications for over five decades.
The Southwest Louisiana Amateur Repeater Club has proudly served amateur radio operators and the surrounding community for more than 50 years.
For five decades, SWLARC has focused on building reliable repeater infrastructure, supporting on-air activity, and providing critical communications during public service events and emergencies.
To provide dependable amateur radio communications infrastructure, promote responsible operating practices, and support public service and emergency communications throughout Southwest Louisiana.
We operate and maintain VHF, UHF, and digital repeater systems designed for reliability, coverage, and resilience.
Regular nets support training, fellowship, and emergency readiness for amateur radio operators in the region.
SWLARC repeaters are used during hurricanes, severe weather, and other emergencies when traditional communications may be unavailable.
We support amateur radio education and license testing to help new operators get started and existing operators upgrade.
SWLARC is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization governed by elected officers and guided by its bylaws. The club encourages participation from operators of all experience levels.
Meetings are open to members and visitors, and involvement opportunities exist in repeater maintenance, nets, VE testing, emergency preparedness, and club administration.
Whether you are newly licensed or have decades of experience, your involvement helps ensure the future of amateur radio communications in Southwest Louisiana.
